Education & Prevention
As a practice, we truly believe that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”; that’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking X-rays when necessary.
Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

A Guide To Dental Implant
The American Dental Association (ADA) and our doctors recommend visiting a dentist at least twice a year for a checkup and professional cleaning
Yes. We accept most PPOs and MediCal. Call our office to confirm if we accept your insurance. We always recommend verifying your coverage with your insurance provider.
Your dentist can diagnose the need to replace fillings and make treatment recommendations. The materials used in fillings can begin to wear away over time. When this occurs, the filling becomes a trap for plaque and bacteria. In time, a cavity can develop. See your dentist regularly, as recommended, to avoid additional discomfort and damage.
From a patient’s perspective, similar discomfort or sensation can occur with either situation. The tooth will need to be assessed by a dentist to determine the specific diagnosis. Please call our office to schedule an appointment.
Sensitive, bleeding gums can occur for several reasons – ranging from medical problems or pregnancy, to being overdue for a cleaning, having periodontal (gum) disease or having improper home care (brushing & flossing). A build up of plaque or tartar increases the amount of bacteria in the mouth. This bacteria contributes to swollen gums resulting in bleeding and tenderness. Call and make an appointment to get a proper diagnosis.
Start brushing baby teeth as soon as they come in. Use a soft cloth instead of a toothbrush until all of the baby teeth are in. Your baby should have established a dental home by the age of 1. So, you should ideally bring your baby in before his/her first birthday. But, its never too late to schedule and appointment, even if your child is over the age of 1. Our very competent and experienced pediatric dentist sees and treats kids of all age groups.
